“Hot California, Hot California, Hot California
That’s where I wanna be, That’s where I wanna be”

May 31, 2011
Just a few months ago Rachael played us all a song she recorded in Toronto (Hot California) She was singing “Hot California, Hot California, Hot California That’s where I wanna be, That’s where I wanna be” … now Rachael is set to fly to Los Angeles June 12th to begin her work in the studio. She will be working with producer Dre Knight in sunny Los Angeles. She may also be working with Carl Restivo (Perry Farrell's Satellite Party, Tom Morello's Freedom Fighter Orchestra), so everyone is excited!
Below are some pictures taken at the May 24 Homecoming show at the Loaf & Ale in Napanee.

Happy Easter
This past weekend Rachael celebrated the Easter festivities by performing Stuart Townend’s "How Deep the Father's Love for Us" at church in her home town of Napanee this past week. She enjoyed the experience very much and was very happy when a young local girl came up to her after her set and said that that song was special to her, thanking Rachael for the performance. She strongly appreciated the encouragement and positive feedback given to her and wanted to say thank you to everyone in attendance, and all of you for your continued support.
Rachael has been actively writing new material and is very excited about upcoming endeavours. During this brief period of hiatus, she will be performing a few local shows while she continues to write. On the May 24 Weekend she will make her highly anticipated return performance at Napanee’s finest pub The Loaf & Ale. Rachael also has some other media deals in the works, so stay tuned....

Happy Valentine’s week to everybody... As 2011 presses on, so do Rachael’s musical endeavours. For the last few months Rachael has been refining some of her new material, as well laying down demo tracks in the studio for her upcoming release. One of her new songs “Hot Cali” has been well received by people inside her camp, as it offers listeners a very poppy sound (reminiscent of something you would hear on a Katy Perry album), adding another dynamic flavour to Rachael’s wide diverse musical repertoire. Classifying Rachael’s genre is now more difficult to define than ever. It seems Pop needs to be added alongside Rock, Country, Gospel and Folk.
Although plans for live performances are in the plans, Rachael wants to concentrate on new material for her next studio release. However, this could change in a moments notice as she is constantly talking about how she misses performing live, so stay tuned....

We wanted to thank everyone who came out to the Halloween Extravaganza showcase this past Saturday. The aura of Halloween was in the air as Rachael performed in a retro 80’s style costume, which was reminiscent of Madonna/ Bananarama/Cyndi Lauper circa 1985. Rachael played a forty five minute set and received an ovation from the crowd at the end, demanding an encore.
Rachael modified some of her classics in stripped down acoustic format, as well as debuting two new songs “Tell me”, and “It’s You”. She also combined the Harold Arlen/ E.Y. Harburg song “Over the rainbow” (originally performed by Judy Garland in the “Wizard of Oz”) with Louis Armstrong’s 1967 hit single "What a Wonderful World" (which was written by Bob Theile and George David Weiss).
